The USS Paradox was a Wells Class Federation Starfleet timeship in primary operation in the 29th century.
In 2376, Edward Jellico from the Mirror Universe was sent through an Interphasic Rift into the future to steal the Paradox and bring it back to the Mirror Universe. The vessel was stolen, but because Jellico was unfamiliar with the vessel's systems, he sent it back to 2376 in the Prime Universe rather than his own Mirror Universe.
There he ran across the USS Excalibur, which quickly realized what was happening and was destroyed.
