Lupo Dal is considered the last great philosopher of the teachings of the Tch'Kairn philosopher H'volik, whose teachings are collectively known as the "Kel'Sima" (The Great Truth).

Lupo like all other Tch'Kairn believed fully in the concepts of the philosophy that he espoused. His understanding of the philosophy came directly from H'volik, and Lupo was his last student.

With the Waagoshin Invasion and occupation of Tch'Kair in the early 2200's, Lupo along with the other philospohers and students of Kel'Sima advocated a peaceful, non-violent reaction to the occupation.

In order to keep in line with the very Philosophy that had saved the Tch'Kairn from self-annhilation, they allowed themselves to be taken as slaves by the Waagoshin invaders.

This state of affairs lasted for roughly 100 years, until eventually, Lupo met and joined K'Thartek in the formation of the Tch'Kairn Resistance. Spiritually strengthened by the non-violent support of the last remaining voice of Kel'Sima, the resistance began a detailed underground recruiting drive.

By 2408, there were a couple of hundred thousand members of the resistance on three worlds within the Sigma Draconis System.

With the arrival of the USS Hades in mid- 2408, the resistance saw their chance to finally overthrown the waagoshin, who had foolishly kidnapped three Federation officers from that ship.

With a defacto state of war between the UFP and the Waagoshin, K'Thartek and Lupo Dal were able to ally themselves and their Resistance movement with the Hades crew and aid in rescuing the captaured federation officers and liberating their homeworld.

After the battle, Lupo Dal accepted a position as Advisor to the Regional Governor, where he would assist in guiding the policies of the government to maintain a level of respect for the great truth of the Kel'Sima.
