The maQmIgh (or “Dark Omen”) was invented by its present owner: [[Lanista|tlha’nISta’]], daughter of QolloH. It was built for the final battle with Admiral Qurta. | |||
The confrontation between tlha’nISta’ and Qurta was to be planet-side. The maQmIgh was developed to circumvent Qurta’s planetary defenses and to transport tlha’nISta’ to Qurta’s lair. (Atmospheric conditions would have prevented transporter beaming.) | |||
