The [[USS Rosenante]] is a [[starship]] currently serving in the [[Starfleet]] of the [[United Federation of Planets]]. The ship was launched in 2408, and at the time was the only ship of the [[Rosenante Class]]. She is currently assigned to the [[52nd Fleet]]. Her Original design was as a privateer, and she was initally to be deployed by [[Admiral Doenitz]] to be used against those that opposed him. However the vessel could not be deployed before the end of the [[Federation Civil War]]. As a result the Rosenante was captured at [[Utopia Planitia]] immediately after the Battle of [[Sector 001]]. She has since been refitted and reclassified as a long-range Explorer. Her original designs specifications were part of the controversial [[The Chimera Directive|Chimera Directive]].  The vessel's core design encompasses 28 decks. [[USS Rosenante Deck Plans]] are available to those with appropriate security clearance.

The crew of the USS Rosenante is considered to be one of the most diversely crewed ships in the fleet. The Officers who serve aboard her come from a wide variety of backgrounds and worlds, each bringing their own unique perspectives and experiences to the overall performance of the ship. There are personnel both old and new aboard ship who all strive together to overcome the challenges and risks that the universe throws at them. They are explorers, lovers and warriors all dedicated to the betterment of the [[United Federation of Planets]] and it's principles.

Captain's Log Supplemental<br><br>
Things have been looking up for the crew of both the Rosenante and the Boudicca.  Our combined efforts have effectively contained the Borg Threat, and their desperation was made apparent by their attempt to assassinate yesterday.<br>
As a result of this attack, Ensign Willowbrook is in medical in serious but stable condition. We have arrested Maddox for his part in the attack, although I am unconvinced that he was functioning completely under his own free will. I just have difficulty believing it possible that he would undertake such a mission willingly.<br>
The science and medical team, Caskie, Carter, Caliel, Matrix and Jacobs have made a breakthrough in the Assimilation of starfleet personnel. Through means which I am unable to commit to record at this juncture, they have devised a means to slow and in some cases reverse the process completely, much to the disability of the Borg Collective on our ships.<br>
To undertake the deployment of this weapon, the team has been deployed to the USS Boudicca, as the Rosenante is unable at this time to  perform the tasks needed to deliver the solution to those that are infected.<br>
With time now firmly against us, the Borg are making their final desperate bid to escape with the Tkon sphere that they have assimilated in the past of Dovek II. Their launch was poorly timed for our response, as neither the Boudicca nor the Rosenante are in  a strong position to stop the device.<br>
Soon we will be undocking and attempting to destroy the sphere. The entire Future of the Federation and perhaps the Alpha and Beta quadrants may very well depend upon our actions over the next few hours.<br>
I can only hope that I am able to make the decision that I fear is coming.<br>
