The [[USS Rosenante]] is a [[starship]] currently serving in the [[Starfleet]] of the [[United Federation of Planets]]. The ship was launched in 2408, and at the time was the only ship of the [[Rosenante Class]]. She is currently assigned to the [[52nd Fleet]]. Her Original design was as a privateer, and she was initally to be deployed by [[Admiral Doenitz]] to be used against those that opposed him. However the vessel could not be deployed before the end of the [[Federation Civil War]]. As a result the Rosenante was captured at [[Utopia Planitia]] immediately after the Battle of [[Sector 001]]. She has since been refitted and reclassified as a long-range Explorer. Her original designs specifications were part of the controversial [[The Chimera Directive|Chimera Directive]].  The vessel's core design encompasses 28 decks. [[USS Rosenante Deck Plans]] are available to those with appropriate security clearance.

The crew of the USS Rosenante is considered to be one of the most diversely crewed ships in the fleet. The Officers who serve aboard her come from a wide variety of backgrounds and worlds, each bringing their own unique perspectives and experiences to the overall performance of the ship. There are personnel both old and new aboard ship who all strive together to overcome the challenges and risks that the universe throws at them. They are explorers, lovers and warriors all dedicated to the betterment of the [[United Federation of Planets]] and it's principles.

Captain's Log Supplemental<br><br>
After everything we've been through on Dovek II with the Borg, I had hoped for some change to regroup, recharge and reorganize not only myself but my crew, yet fate seems to have other plans.<br><br>
Sanok and Soma departed for Ataxis III in the hopes of locating Ben's long-lost love, Marah Neru. It seems to be more complicated than just a single visit to the planet and a discussion, but as they did not ask for my assistance or counsel, I have chosen to honor their desire for confidentiality. I only hope that they return safe, sound and successful.<br><br>
But their problems seem small in comparison to the storm raging on Geneva. It seems that Section 31 had determined that Jessica/Lily was on the verge of throwing off their control, and had managed to kidnap her. This of course, led to an encounter with Starfleet intelligence and afterwards, I was forced to take action to safeguard my crewman. SFI wanted nothing more than to use her as bait, yet when I saw the extent that they were willing to go, possibly sacrificing Jessica in the process, I knew I had to make things right.<br><br>
Eian, Liam and myself undertook a rescue operation, using marines from the USS Kelman and the Rosenante, we were successful in freeing her, and my medical staff is worked diligently to make certain that she can not be influenced by Section 31.<br><br>
Meanwhile, I set up an operation to bring George Hayden to me, and to secure his capture.<br><br>
In other news, not everything was struggle. Captain Zephyr dedicated a memorial to the sacrifices of the lost crew of the Boudicca and the Rosenante. The Memorial is to be placed near the observation deck of the station so that there will always be a means to remember them for their dedication to the fleet.<br><br>
I was surprised by Captain Durand's sudden resignation, and to the dismissal of Commander Caskie as the First Officer of the Boudicca. But I am equally pleased to see Commander Jackson receiving the post. I have taken Commander Caskie back aboard the Rosenante in the capacity of Chief Medical Officer as Doctor Ichijo has transferred permanently to Starbase Geneva.<br><br>
Soon Matrix will have the repairs complete, and we'll be able to once again get underway.<br><br>
