Remae found a quiet corner of the transporter room and opened a comm-channel to the computer. He had a moment to log a status report.

“First Officers Log, supplemental. We’re attempting to retrieve the away teams of our Marines that are stuck on the Garallon.”, he said before looking at the time, he had a few more moments.

“In order to location the team, we had to send a massive signal for the dish, we burnt it out but we were about to arrange a transporter sequence that will grab anyone on their pad and beam them over.”, said the FO knowing that they were beaming in the dark but it was their best shot.
The [[USS Spectre]] has been ordered by Fleet Command to the Class M world Ushar Prime, the home world of the Ushari situated close to Theta Draconis & approximately midway between the Ferengi alliance & the Cardassian Union. Prior to the Civil war, Ushar was a reliable & leading producer of Dilithium which it traded to the Federation in exchange for the complex weather control equipment it needed to maintain the surface climate of their world. Following the Civil War however & as a direct response to seriously depleted stocks, a request for an increased shipment of Dilithium by the Federation was met with an unexpected silence. A second request produced an announcement from the Ushari minister for commerce that the Ushari would be unable to meet it's request either now, or for the foreseeable future.  


“As soon as they team is over, the Spectre will have to leave the void... with us already using a tractor beam on the warp core of the Garallon, I don’t see how we can also rescue the Garallon as well, at least, not this time.”, Remae looked over at the transporter chief, he nodded, it was time.
The Spectre's mission is thus:

Travel to the Ushari system, investigate the situation, rectify any problem & re-establish trade. There are however, complications in the form of an unexpected & perhaps dangerous benefactor.

Currently docked at Starbase 621, the [[USS Spectre]] has been ordered by fleet command to a state of urgent mission readiness, all leave has been duly cancelled pending departure for the Zeta Gellis Cluster (the outermost marker of the subspace river) for a possible encounter with a familiar and deadly foe. Under strict orders not to discuss their mission specifics from fleet command itself, rumours are now circulating amongst the crew of a possible Borg involvement to this mission. Consequently, tension is high and understandably so. What will the Spectre crew find upon their arrival? Will it be all that they fear or will it all just prove to be rumour after all? Stay tuned....

After arriving at the perimeter of the Tsinkada Void and finding no trace of the Garallon, we have now proceeded into the expanse. Tension is high in this place, a presence of some kind appearing to shadow us and interacting with the conscious minds of the crew in a manner that defies logic. Dr Riven has managed to create a psi bubble to protect us from the effects of this presense and has assembed what can only be termed, a 'telepathic relay', between those of the crew that possess such abilities, myself included, in order to bolster its efficacy.
"Whilst dealing with the casualties on Ushar prime after the explosion that recently occured, we encountered a small vessel climbing to high orbit in an agressive posture. Her shields were raised but it appeared that she was having some difficulty engaging her cloaking device. It appeared that this vessel might be our 'Sensor Ghost', from earlier"


Initial scans via our Class 2 probe have identified what appears to be a warp signature, but the size of that signature excludes the possibility that we are seeing the Garallon. It is my belief that what we are seeing is its warp core, although why it has been jetisoned I can only speculate at this moment in time.
