The designers used the Gueken fighter as their starting point for their prototype design some of its design features can be seen in the final design. They are approximately 10 meters in length with a low profile, sleek design and can be deployed as tactical escorts to a mother starship, patrol craft for star bases or planets. They were also looking at a deep space reconnaissance and exploration model. The Serenity’s shuttle bay has been designed to accommodated their rapid deployment and recovery.
UMTSC or Wingman has two impulse systems | UMTSC or Wingman has one matter-antimatter propulsion system which feeds the two nacelles and two impulse systems. It has a cruising speed of warp speed of 8. It is armed with Phaser Cannons and 2 pulse-type Quantum Mini-torpedoes launchers.
The Wingman is controlled by a neural link and pilot can control up to six wingman fighters at one time with computer assistance. The Serenity carries six Wingman that are controlled by one pilot. |
