Vincent Adams's ship was destroyed during the final battles of the Civil War. Adams and much of the crew was able to get off the ship in escape pods before the ship blew up. His escape pod was traced and he was captured soon after the battle was complete. He was transferred to a prison ship to Earth and on Stardate 2407.09.27. For his cooperation in testifying against the main architects of the Doenitz regime, Adams was given a light sentence, two years in the New Zealand Penal Settlement on Earth.
