An encephalographic polygraph scan is a 24th century variety of a lie-detector test.
In 2367, Lieutenant Worf wanted Crewman Simon Tarses to undergo such a test and instructed Ensign Kellogg to make arrangements for the scan. (TNG: "The Drumhead")
