Atlantis Station
The interior of Atlantis Station before the change of government

Atlantis Station is a floating structure located in the western sea on the planet Beta Aquillia IV, offshore of the world's capital city Joba. Originally designed as a floating hotel, the structure often hosted small diplomatic events and conferences during it's operation. The hotel was designed and built and owned by a citizen of the United Federation of Planets, Niambh McNulty.

In 2414, during the period in which the overthrow of the Aquillian government took place, the hotel played host to a large number of political refugees. The station was filled to capacity during this period. Only the timely arrival of the USS Rosenante to negotiate for the release of Federation citizens from captivity, prevented the immediate assault on the property by militant factions of the Veil of the Sky.

Security forces from the Rosenante, provided security and a military stumbling block against potential attacks by that force. The sheer size of the hotel made it impossible for the Rosenante to evacuate the persons residing there, as that vessel was unable to handle the number of refugees present on the station.

Under the Rosenante's protection, the station became a 'Safe Zone' for off-worlders unable to escape the planet.
