The [[Borg Scout]] ship was a type of [[starship]] used by the [[Borg Collective]] to assess the capabilities and technology of new species they encountered. Ships of this type were cubical, several meters long, and massed approximately 2.5 million metric tons. They had a standard crew of five [[Borg Drone|drone]]s.

A vessel of this type crashed inside the Argolis Cluster in 2368, where it was discovered by personnel from the USS Enterprise-D. The lone surviving drone (later named Hugh by the Enterprise crew) was rescued by [[Borg]] from a second scout ship several days later. (TNG: "I Borg")
