Thom Hania was a rugged specimen of a Native American Indian male. He wore his hair in a Native American style pony tail. His classic Hopi features are well chiseled and he had dark brown eyes, a prominent nose and strong chin. He is shorter than the majority of off world [[Human]] males, but his 5’8.8” 260 pound body was surprisingly strong. His physical demeanor indicated cool, calm confidence, and rather disconcerting wariness as if he were constantly on his guard.

 

The status of Hania's parents is unknown at this time. His father is a tech wisemen, a hereditary ancestor of the pilots and scientists that brought their tribe to [[Necron Red II]] centuries ago. His mother is a Medicine Woman in the true Native sense of the word. He has a younger brother and an older sister. His brother has embraced his mother's philosphy and teaching while his sister has turned away from traditional native teaching for the facts of hard science. His father is unhappy about his sons decision and his mother is unhappy about her daughters decision. It is likely that Agent Hania's family was unaware of his position within [[Doenitz]] forces.

 

During the mission Hania took advantage of the mental breakdowns that a number of the crewmembers suffered, including the senior ATAC, Ensign(sg) [[Eric McDermott]] to push forward his own operational plan which was essentially a head on assault against the prison security forces. Taking advantage of McDermott's near incapacitation, Hania claimed that McDermott's plan was too risky and would place too many innocent lives in danger. The irony of this specious claim would not become apparent until it was too late.

Due to McDermott's inability to respond in a logical and professional manner, Hania's plan was adopted over McDermott's.

As a result Hania made use of his deadly training to commit wholesale slaughter upon Djörn Major and was personally responsible for the deaths of scores of station security personnel. The orgy of destruction culminated in the deliberate and premeditated murder of Starfleet Marine, Major Julian Wells.

When confronted at the conclusion of the mission by Captain [[Devan Sash]] and Ensign(sg) [[Cecilia Bruce]], Hania realized that he had miscalculated and was on the brink of being exposed for what and who he really was. It was at this point that he committed suicide via his implanted cybernetic device.

This incident became the dark conclusion to what proved to be a disastrous mission for the [[USS Nimitz]].

Hania affected a gregarious nature and appeared to like talking and socializing with others. Hania appeared to have a taste for non-linear art, tribal music, whale song, meditation, and shamanic prayer. Hania practiced archery and he studied both traditional Native American Indian Archery and Zen Archery. Rock climbing, camping, white water rafting and spelunking also appeared to be favorite pastimes.

Hania, as with many of his race, was overly sensitive to heat and bright light. Hania’s ocular implants which had been ostensibly implanted to protect his eyes from UV radiation were in fact cybernetic implants designed to increase visual acuity from the infrared to ultraviolet ranges and allow data to be accurately recorded by Hania and stored for later use or upload in another implant installed at the base of his spine, just underneath the Medulla oblongata.

 

In addition to these features this system also stored the toxin Tetraditoxis Podophyllin and the system in which to introduce the toxin directly into Hania’s blood. Post-mortem analysis of this device has proven that this system can only be initiated by the mental command of the individual that this device is implanted in which, in affect makes it an automated suicide implant.

Hania died on Stardate 2407.03.09 after initiating the suicide protocols of his implant.

Given the [[Necron Red II]]'s heavier gravity, Hania was physically stronger than his size and weight would indicate. Hania often claimed that his exceptional vision was a result of the conditions of his home world and genetics but that his since been discounted due to the discovery of the nature of his ocular implants. Because of Necron Red's dimmer illumination Hania had better cold tolerance than his terrestrial ancestors.

 

Hania often claimed a heightened environmental awareness, which he often stated made him much more difficult to surprise and less easy to deceive. Hania also claimed an intuitive, spirit oriented, awareness which he claimed could at times, also give him heightened sensitivity to things that might be classified as spirits per se, non-corporal or extra-dimensional beings and other anomalous phenomena not perceivable through the normal senses, or through traditional scientific instrumentation.  

Thom dated heterosexually. He appeared to have no aversion to dating outside his species as long as they individual was humanoid and therefore compatible. Hania often claimed an aversion to bigotry and prejudice based on race although this was likely a ruse.
