She had a growing fascination with the stars and desired to join Starfleet from a young age. Her mother died when Dartena was 14, making her father promise to find a way to mark Dartena’s dream come true. Dartena’s father, since that time, made it his mission to ensure his daughter would attend Starfleet Academy and follow her dream. Dartena’s life has been marked by constant hard work and study.
