Physical Description: Elith is a tall, imposing Cardassian, like many of his race. He is physically fit, however not at his peak, having paid less attention to it than when he was in the Cardassian military. He usually looks bored or ill-tempered, however he simply says that this is how Cardassians are. He's usually very quiet, only talking when he feels it would matter or when directly addressed.

Family Background and Pre-Starfleet History

Elith's father was a lowly engineer working in a factory, and his mother was a gardener for the governmental building in the city. Elith was an only child. He was like most Cardassian children, nothing really spectacular except for the fact that he was pretty good at sneaking around, whether it was to leave his house at night or to evade reprimanding teachers at school. He would have stayed in the lower class, however an Obsidian Order agent noticed Elith's natural skills at stealth, security, and his above average intelligence. Upon Elith's Age of Emergence, he was sent to the Bamarren Institute for State Intelligence, likely to become an agent for the Obsidian Order himself.

During his final year at Bamarren, he participated in a mock battle between the other third-years, in what was essentially the institute's final exam. He was betrayed by his team's captain, and was soon expelled. After his expulsion, Elith enlisted in the military as a combat engineer and occasional infiltrator, always plotting his revenge. After a few years, he was able to kill the man who ruined his future. However, he was still denied entry into the Obsidian Order. During this time, the Cardassian-Federation War was in it's final stages, and Elith fought in quite a few of the battles. During his time in the military, he learned firsthand the ruthlessness and cruelty his superiors instituted to the enemy, and even their own soldiers sometimes. While this is normal in the Cardassian military, to a degree, Elith was disgusted with it. While he did agree with a few of the practices, his sense of morals - developed mostly due to his father's somewhat benevolent influence - found most of them disgusting. After the war ended, Elith went AWOL from the military and spent time drifting throughout the Cardassian Union and the Federation. This eventually ended a few months later, when he decided to enlist in Starfleet Academy. He kept his reasons to himself.

Medical History

Elith has his fair share of scars from the war, his most prominent being a thin scar from his forehead ridge to a few centimeters under his eye. While it is an easy scar to remove, he refuses any such removal, saying that it's serves as a trophy. His arm leg will occasionally ache, as he was shot there in the war, almost losing it. He was able to keep functionality, yet there is a chronic ache that the Cardassian medics weren't able to diagnose. No treatments he has yet found were able to fully cure it. It isn't quite painful, but Elith is still rather ill-tempered the days it flares up.

Skills

Elith is a competent engineer, having spent much time in his father's factory or fixing equipment on the battlefield. He is also skilled at stealth and security, having honed his skills at Bamarren and the military. Like most other Cardassians, Elith has a photographic memory. He also has a quick mind, and is able to think on his feet well, learning to do so on the battlefield.

Hobbies

Elith can be described as boring by human standards, having little hobbies. He will occasionally be found in the bar, however he spends much of his time in his room, reading. His favorite books are Cardassian war and spy novels, although he also enjoys the works of John le Carré.

Other Information

This page is pretty incomplete, I'm planning on fleshing Elith out when I find the time. Stay tuned.
