Building off a suggestion made by [[Rank|Lieutenant]] [[Chance Raschen]], he initiated a transfer of the Omega Directive Protocols into the Imperial Starship's computer after the junior officer reeled them into communications range for the data transfer. That vessel's commander, having no experience with the [[Starfleet General Orders & Directives|Omega Directive]] was unable to unlock the ship's computer, which caused them to lose the battle.
