| Miranda has maintained a very slender physique over the years never reaching a weight greater than 150 lbs. Her hair length and color remained the same for the entirety of her adult life.

| Miranda always had to spend more time with her studies as she dealt with a learning disorder. Her primary and secondary studies were completed on time but she had to miss out on many normal childhood activities to compensate for studying handicap. Miranda enrolled in Starfleet Academy in an attempt to follow her brother who had joined two years prior. While at the academy she received word that while her parents remained safe her childhood home was destroyed in a natural disaster fire. She found that her time at the academy was very difficult as she dealt with the distraction of losing her home coupled with a still very aggressive learning disorder and was forced to remain for an additional 18 months before graduation.

| Her parents Israel and Yale Willoughby have no affiliation with Starfleet. Older brother Jonas Willoughby is a captain of a deep space station in the Beta Quadrant. No children.

| Miranda’s older brother made it his mission to leave the homestead and head for Starfleet; In doing so Miranda felt as if she had been abandoned by him and at first chance took off after him. She realized as soon as she arrived that she had not thought her decision through as she never was able to spend time with him while in the same academy. To add insult to injury once her brother graduated he was deployed to deep space in the Beta Quadrant where he remained throughout his career.

| Miranda never made it out into the front lines of the fleet. She remained on Earth in the company of the admiralty as an adjunct carefully being cultivated to assume various leadership positions. Her proximity to Earth and Starfleet Command afforded her the opportunity to frequent academy grounds where she developed and maintained relationships with both the instructors and cadets.

| It wasn’t until years later that her connections granted her a less formal presence on the grounds as attaché to SHQ. Her role on the grounds was to monitor the day to day operations and provide concise yet informative reports to the upper ups. Her appointment to Head of the Academy came as Admiral Jopek left to concentrate on being the 52nd Fleet Commanding Officer.
