A Rigelian Flamegem is a precious jewel from the Rigel system. They are illegal in the region of space near the Mutara sector.
In an alternate timeline, Yerdrin Lek claimed to be a dealer in flamegems that had jettisoned his cargo when captured by the NX-01 Enterprise in 2165. (ENT: "Twilight")
