Syuvik was later reassigned as First Officer of the USS Dakota. During the ship first mission, during an away mission on Anohesia, the away team carried a pathogen back on the ship that remained undetected and unfiltered by the transporter biofilter. The pathogen spread rapidly into an epidemic which killed 89 crew members, including the USS Soval CO, Chief Engineer, Chief of Security, along with several hundred gravely ill. Following the incident, Syuvk was promoted to Captain and become CO of the USS Dakota. Since the crew of the Dakora has been radically altered, he decided to change the name to [[USS Soval]].
