USS Hercules

The USS Hercules is a Federation starship serving in Starfleet. The ship is a vessel of the Prometheus Class and was active during and after the Federation Civil War. The Ship served in the 1st Defense Fleet, commanded by Admiral Doenitz. The ship was an active participant for the battle of Sector 001, where she aided in the defense of the Mars Defense Perimeter.

Her role in the battle put her in direct opposition to the Ships of the 52nd Fleet and specifically Task Force 19. She was engaged in direct conflict with the USS Champlain and alongside the USS Persephone is credited with the destruction of that vessel during the battle.

The conflict was not without it's costs. The command crew of the Hercules were killed during the conflict, and the ship damaged to the point that it was decommissioned after the battle.
