The USS Onyx is a Federation starship of the Steamrunner Class.
In 2413, contact was lost with her while she was on a diplomatic mission transporting a diplomatic envoy of the Nertalli to peace negotiations with the Perthalla. The USS Hades was sent to investigate the ship's fate.
