H’retor’s father, Gi’ral, of the [[House of Moroth]], is a warrior and also an intellectual and diplomat. He has been one of the rare Klingon who studied abroad. As an intellectual, Gi’ral has always been a pacifist and a progressist among the Klingon Empire. He was one of the few who fought for important reforms in the Empire. Greatly influenced by the Federation, he militated against killing people, even following to most dishonourable acts, and also fought for introducing women into the Klingon High Council, and make women equal with men in heritance. Gi’ral was also among the Klingon who criticized the Klingon Empire and mostly its leaders for the actual lost in values of the whole Empire.
