Prologue

Labyrinth System
USS Traveller finding the ocean world

The USS Traveller was chasing a pirate vessel through the Labyrinth System. The pirate ship had tried to slip passed and escape into the radiation sources and strong energy fluctuations cloude which made up the system wide nebula. With the Traveller in persute followed the fleeing pirate ship deep into the nebula. While exchanging weapons fire the pirate ship hit and crashed into an uncharted ocean world and sunk into the deapths.

New Beginning

The USS Serenity slipped its moorings and moved out of its dry dock. Its first mission with a new crew and a new Captain, Lieutenant Commander Bill Grayjoy. After completing work up trials the Serenity was certified to become added to the fleet roster. After boosting into orbit the Serenity was given its first set of orders to proceeded to the Labyrinth system to investigate the disappearance of a pirate ship into a ocean world. After a quick intake of supplies and a data down load from Earth Spacedock they were on their way to the Labyrinth system.

Taking the Plunge

Ocean World

The Serenity arrived at the Ocean World and relieved the Traveller who carries on her search for more pirates. The crew began scanning the Ocean World to try and find out where the pirate ship had gone but also how the world was formed. From the results of the study it became apparent that there were similarities to the ocean world that was found by the USS Voyager in the Delta quadrant. This ocean world had at the core of the planet was an object which was producing a massive amount to power. What was disturbing was that the pirate ship was along side the object. They were not able to get good readings from orbit so Grayjoy decided to take the Serenity down for a closer look.

Some One Else’s Dinner

Sea Monster

The Serenity made a successful orbital dive into the ocean. After making sure nothing was damaged from the impact with the water Grayjoy ordered a slow descent to the bottom. The sensor sweeps from orbit had already indicated that there was life in the ocean some of it about the size of the Serenity and due to the shock wave that was produced from their orbital dive they soon realised that the had caught the attention of the local aquatic life. Some of which were becoming too friendly then Grayjoy would have licked. After increasing the rate of descent and a couple non lethal phasor shots to the ones that did not take the hint they managed to become less interesting and were left alone to continue their descent to the depths below.
