His father, Tobias, was an academy lecturer in quantum physics at the Institute of Science & Medicine on Trill. Due to Olivia’s refusal to abandon their home, an estate that had been in the family for many generations, Tobias’s occupation meant he was away from his family for weeks at a time, sometimes even months.
