Physical Description[edit]

Eye Colour: Blue

Hair Colour: Blonde

Height: 5 foot 7 inches

Blood Colour:Red

Skin Colour: White

Physical Description: Not very tall, she is beautiful and knows it. She comes from the planet Elas, where the women know that they can always get what they want. Female Elasion tears contain a substance that acts like a 'love potion', there is not a cure for it, but the men of Elas have been desperately trying to find one for centuries. Julia is very careful where she crys and she dislikes physical contact because she's afraid of infecting people.

Family and Background[edit]

Elas
The Elasian Palace

Julia Tagliani was born Julii Targonlianistrestorienger on the planet of Elas. She came from a powerful family and led a priveleged life. Julia's family was heavily involved in politics, and as such are very well known on Elas. When Julia was six years old, her family moved into a subsectioin of the Dohlman's palace, where Julia began training as a handmaiden and companion of the Dohlman of Elas. While working at the palace she became friends with one of the gardeners, and eventually the gardener's son, (who was human) Thomas Giglionni. By the time she was thirteen, both she and Thomas had decided that they were going to go to Starfleet Academy on Earth. However, two years later Julia began developing her allergies. With no warning, she began sneezing and crying while working in a science lab with some animals. A tear hit with Thomas, causing a massive change in the nature of their relationship. Julia was uncomfortable with Thomas's newfound affection for her and left the planet. Thomas was devastated, and eventually committed suicide. Julia felt horribly guilty, and her life changed. She decided that she was going to go to Starfleet Academy in the Science track, instead of CONN and command. In the Science track, she was going to begin studying and eventually develope a cure for Elasian tears. She began studying hard and using her families contacts to pull strings and get her noticed. She eventually managed to draw the attention of a Starfleet Captain Roger Haskell, who sponsored her to the academy even though she was only seventeen. After much deliberation, she was accepted to the academy younger than any cadet before her, for her maturity, her drive, and most importantly her intelligence, a trait shared by many Elasian women, but not utilized, due to the fact that it isn't needed to get by in their world. She 'humanized' her name to Julia Tagliani at Starfleet Academy so that her instructors could pronounce it, She chose an Italian influenced one in memory of her friend Thomas. She allows only her closest friends to call her Julii.

Education[edit]

Standard Federation Education, Julia proved intelligent and was actually accepted at Starfleet Academy younger than usual due to her maturity. She graduated fifth in her class in the science track.

Pre-Starfleet History[edit]

She was raised on Elas, and led a priveleged life as most Elasian women do. She is a distant relative of the current Dohlman of Elas, and has been involved with the Dohlman's court before attending Starfleet Academy. Most of her pre-starfleet life is unkown, and she remains close-mouthed about it.

Starfleet History[edit]

Tagliani was sympathetic to LoDona's cause. While at the academy she met up with an older cadet, James Guildford who was secretley recruiting cadets to take over to LaDona's side. Already symapthetic to LoDona's forces, she joined him. The fifteen cadets who were recruited formed the backbone for a club called the Inquisition. Upon graduation, the members of the Inquisition gathered together and decided to defect to Admiral LaDona's Starfleet. Utilizing family contacts, Ensign Guildford was able to arrange transportation in the form of a shuttlecraft to the Beta Quadrant. Before the Inquisition was able to leave Earth, they were found out by one of their proffessors, Cosico Thoma's, who was pretending to be loyal to Doenitz. Thoma's gave the Inquisition several PADDs containing classified information to take to LaDona.

The newly minted ensigns all got aboard the private shuttle, minus one, Timothy Watters. Watters was actually a Doenitz loyalist who betrayed the Inquisition, as would become apparent later. The shuttlecraft was running the Andoria blockade when it was fired upon by a pair of Akira class ships. Damaged, the shuttle crash-landed on Andoria.

The hostile ships took up orbit and began sending away teams to the surface to finish the job they had started. It was while the members of the Inquisition were hiding near the crash site that it was overheard that Tim Watters had given SFI the names and number of the members of the Inquisiton, as well as the route the shuttle was going to take through Federation space. Doenitz's away teams were suddenly and brutally attacked by an Andorian Resistance Cell. Recognizing the Ensigns as friendly, the Andorians took them to their base camp. The Inquisition immediately began helping, healing wounded, repairing equipment, and even going on raids. Ensigns Guildford, Tagliani, and Brooks developed a plan to simultaneously strike a major blow against the occupation and steal several shuttles. The Inquisition planned on getting aboard one shuttle and programming the other shuttles to scatter in different directions with false life signs, creating distractions and hopefully allowing them to escape.

Ensign Avery Brooks on Andoria

Ensign Brooks managed to convince the Andorians to go along with the plan the Inquisition 'council of three' had developed. The plan was adapted and polished into a two week operation. James was given a Lieutenant's uniform and snuck into a nearby Starfleet Base. He downloaded the contents of Starfleet's Andoria operations, giving the resistance valuable information to plan their future attacks. James also secretely added an access program into the lighting systems, allowing the resistance to tap into the Starfleet mainframe through a system that wasn't considered critical. Using this program, the resistance falsified orders, and had seven runabouts fueled and ready to launch at a moment's notice. The resistance then prepared the first major attack against a Starfleet installation, contacting seven other cells and coordinating with them.

On the night of the attack, one resistance cell distracted Starfleet security by launching attacks on shield and power generators at a nearby Starfleet sensor installation. The other cells infiltrated the base from catacomb tunnels below, and began securing the base. Utilizing the backdoor in the computer's mainframe the Inquisition managed to disable the base security system and prevent the lock out of the control system. After capturing the base, the Andorians began transmitting a signal throughout Andoria, letting them know what had happened, and notifying all starfleet personnel that Andoria would be free again. The Inquisition then boarded two of the seven runabouts and ran the blockade, finally reaching Starbase Geneva for reassignment.

Ensign Julia Tagliani was assigned to the USS Spectre along with Ensign James Guildford.

Mission 1: The Sword of Damocles[edit]

The Spectre dropped out of warp to pick up a damaged federation shuttlecraft that was under attack from a Romulan warbird. The Romulans claimed that the occupants of the shuttle were known terrorists and that he would not stop until they were dead. Commander T'Vhor convinced the Romulans to leave. The shuttle was carrying the Spectre's missing chief engineer, the Andorian H'Chir, whom everyone assumed had betrayed them in an earlier mission. It was also carrying a Vulcan named Korak, who has been tracking one of Doenitz's Lieutenants. Korak discovered that it wasn't H'Chir who betrayed the crew of the Spectre, but the Katra of lieutenant T'Rok in control of H'Chir's body. The Spectre then went to warp to find the aide of the missing former president at a rondeveux point near the Romulan border.

Upon reaching the meeting point, the remains of a destroyed shuttle were discovered, along with a life pod on the nearby surface of a planet. A Romulan vessel entered the system, heading for the Spectre. An away team went down to the surface in a shuttle to recover the only survivor, who could not be beamed out due to ionic storms on the planet. Meanwhile a second vessel, this one a federation shuttle, appeared in the system and began heading for the Spectre.

This is the furthest point in Ensign Tagliani's Starfleet career so far.

Medical History[edit]

She has allergies to pollen, dust, and animal hair. If she is not treated for these allergies, people near her run the risk of being infected by her tears, making her allergies not only a problem for her, but for everyone around her as well. It should be noted that Elasian females have the ability to squirt tears when they are threatened.
