Martin Kosinsky was a crewman Engineer serving in Starfleet aboard Starbase 989.
Martin was a renowned slacker, who often believed that his life would be better served enjoying parties and women rather than contributing to the betterment of the Human race. He had, against his desire, been assigned the gamma duty shift in the starbase's main reactor control room on New Year's Eve in 2413-2414.
