The Moarvol was a Tellarite mining freighter that often docked at Starbase 989. The ship was owned by Captain Galzoth, who was an independant trader.
In early 2414, the Moarvol docked at Starbase 989, after a particularly rich haul of Magnesite ore colected from Asteroids located in the Zeta Draconis System, located in the Beta Quadrant at the edge of Federation space.
Unknowingly the ship contracted an infestation of Vexarak Spoilers, which it carried to the starbase. The infestation spread rapidly, causing mayhem through the starbase and several adjacent ships.
In the end the Moarvol, was destroyed by the infestation despite all efforts to save her.
The Moarvol first appeared in the USS Rosenante and joint USS Bouddica mission Just Another Saturday Night
