Layout

Due to the role of the Sabiite as a long range reconnaissance vessel is has a few thing that are similar to larger capital class Toto type vessels. It also has similarities to the flying saucers that had been reported to have been sighted on earth. The first is that the ship is piloted by a mental connection and the pilot becomes the ship. The control room is situated in the centre of the vessel behind strong bulkheads which can seal its self off from the rest of the ship if there is a ruptured hull. The rest of the ship is constructed around the control room which includes the ships other functions. The ship has retractable landing legs that fold into the hull when the ship is in motion. The main access to the ship is a small elevator which comes down from the underside of the hull.

Specific Notes

The Long Range Reconnaissance Vessel and the Sabiite in particular is controlled by the pilots mind. This is not always easy as the ships them selves have a conciseness of their own and the melding combines the two concisenesses to make an amalgamation of the both. This gives the ship a faster response time when performing tasks as when ever the pilot thinks the ship performs. There is a risk of over stimulated feed back from the ship to the pilot and it has been know that the pilot manifests physical injuries if the ship is damaged. The Sabiite is a large craft and takes up most of the space in the Serenity’s main shuttle bay.

History

ARCHIVE INFORMATION RECOVERED FROM THE SABIITE COMPUTER CORE.

The Sabiite was constructed on 1982.16 Toto galactic calendar (Conversion to Federation Standard not achievable at this time) and was tasked to the 503 Long Range Reconnaissance Fleet. The Sabiite and her sisters’ vessels were larger and more powerful then what had come before. The crew was reduced as the technology was increased the ability to range up to 50 percent longer then the older classes as well as being more heavily armed which was comparable to a destroyer class vessel. The Sabiite’s primary duty was to explore the far reaches of the Toto territory and identify areas of expansion. The Sabiite helped to expand and integrate 156 star systems. After this she was then ordered to return to the principle fleet yards where she was upgraded and updated for her new mission. By this time the Second Life plague was sweeping the Toto civilisation and the long range reconnaissance fleets were tasked to find a cure. The fleets spread out further then ever before with the help of the sub space river and the use of conventional warp drive. The Sabiite was diverted to the research station Gamma Gamma Bravo where she and it got stuck in a sink hole with in the subspace river. They were both trapped until the arrival of Mortas and the USS Serenity. Davy Jones Locker incident.

Current Mission Overview

Assigned to the USS Serenity as an auxiliary search vessel
