Commanded by Rear-Admiral Lydia Stakes, the Star of Samarkand is a modified sovereign class vessel designed as a keltoi-killer.

Rear-Admiral Stakes and the Star lead the 42nd Squadron (nicknamed The Black Watch), Auxilliary Home Fleet.
