Vincent Adams was a Starfleet officer who served in the Doenitz fleet. He is currently serving a twenty year sentence at the New Zealand Penal Settlement on Earth. Vincent Adams stands 6'0" with short gray hair and is of average build.

Childhood

Vincent Adams's father served on the USS Melbourne and was killed in the Battle of Wolf 359 when he was fifteen years old. Vincent was on the ship when the attack happened and he and his mother ended up spending several days in an escape pod together before the incident with the Borg was over. They eventually were rescued and relocated to the city of Houston on Earth.

Family

Vincent Adams met and fell in love with the civilian Laverne Cartwright while on post at Starfleet Tactical. She joined him on several mission assignments as they were forced to relocated from one Starbase to another. In 2381, his only son, Christopher Adams was born. They stayed together as a family until 2391 when Vincent was forced to go on a secret mission for Starfleet Intelligence and his wife and son had to relocate to Earth. During that mission, he had to make some hard decisions that compromised the integrity of his marriage. Because of this, he came back a changed man which eventually caused them to grow apart. In 2394, they got divorced.

Starfleet Tactical

Vincent Adams's first posting was to Starfleet Tactical where he specialized in weapons to fight the Borg.

Civil War

From a long line of Starfleet officers, Vincent has a strong since of loyalty toward his commanding officers. He is especially loyal toward his mentor Admiral Stevenson. Vincent joined his mentor when he decided to side with Admiral Doenitz when he assumed emergency power in order to protect the values of Starfleet. He doesn't understand why his own son has abandoned his post. He was forced to report his former wife to the authorities when she wouldn't reveal Chris's location.

War Crimes Trial

Vincent Adams's ship was destroyed during the final battles of the Civil War. Adams and much of the crew was able to get off the ship in escape pods before the ship blew up. His escape pod was traced and he was captured soon after the battle was complete. He was transferred to a prison ship to Earth and on Stardate 2407.09.27 was convicted of war crimes against the Federation and sentenced to twenty years at the New Zealand Penal Settlement on Earth. He was stripped of his rank and discharged from Starfleet.

Character Bible

Vincent Adams is a middle-aged Human of American decent, specializing in weaponry, though now serving in a command role. He is a straight laced individual who always plays by the rules. Perceived as "grumpy" all the time, but the people who serve with him are extremely loyal and would easily put their life on the line to serve him. He's extremely private and doesn't socialize at all.

He comes from a long line of male Starfleet officers and has a great sense of duty. Because of his lineage, he lives by the motto of "leave no many behind". He will go to great personal sacrifice in order to accomplish what he thinks is right.

He has formed a strong mentor relationship with Admiral Stevenson, who is one of the higher ranking Admirals in the President Doenitz regime. Because of this, he joined his mentor when he decided to side with Admiral Doenitz. He is extremely loyal to Admiral Stevenson and believes that Admiral Doenitz did what was best in order to guard the values of the Federation he has grown up with all of his life.
