Pre-Starfleet History

Much of Nara's life is still shrouded in mystery, but what is known is that she moved to ShirKahr, on Vulcan, from an unknown location in early 2338. She first became interested in the field of medicine in early 2343, when, at the very young age of 12, an earthquake hit her city, and her life was saved by a young doctor. Feeling indebted to him, she decided then to devote her life to medicine. In 2371, she applied and was accepted to the Medical School at Starfleet Academy, when she was 36.

Academy Life

Having to stay at the Academy for 8 years to secure her doctorate degree in Exobiology, she did her best to stay in good spirits throughout the regimented lifestyle. This came to a peak when, in 2375, she met and befriended a freshman by the name of Matthew Brownlee. This friendship blossomed into a romance, and by the time of graduation, the two were engaged.

Career After the Academy

Nara graduated in 2379, and was married during the layover between the commencement ceremony and the first assignments. Much to the young couple's great joy, they were assigned to the same station, Starbase Eridani. Because of this, they were able to spend their off-duty time together, and approximately one year after their stationing there, Joran was born.

Soon after, Nara recieved a promotion to full-grade Ensign, and both were stationed on the USS Vanderbilt (NCC-71453). With the promotion, she became an Assistant CMO and now had more authority.

In early 2382, they both recieved promotions and were reassigned to the Boston Shipyards, in orbit around Earth. They, however, were able to live in an apartment on the surface. Soon after, Nara gave birth to their second son, Christian. However, there were many complications with the birth, and Nara died soon after.
