Sector 6309
Map of Grid Z338-AR256

Sector 6309 is a sector of space located adjacent to the borders of three political territories. The sector spans into the Alpha and Beta Quadrants. The sector is of political and strategic interest to the United Federation of Planets, the Romulan Star Empire and the Cardassian Union. Each sees it as an area that is resource rich, strategically important and suitable for expansion and colonization. In addition to being located near these critical powers, the sector also contains the planets Beta Aquillia IV, Kozan, Kozana and Dovek II.

In anticipation of establishing future colonies in this region, the Federation Council and Starfleet have ordered the USS Rosenante to conduct long-term strategic, resource and scientific surveys of the sector. The Rosenante was given the task of establishing strategic remote monitoring posts in the region for the purpose of monitoring the activities of the RSE and the CU in the area.

Within a few weeks of their arrival into the sector, the Rosenante has discovered the Rogue Planet Solyon, as well as a previously unmet civilization in the Asrai.

As survey information becomes available this data page will be updated to reflect the most current data.
