Lieutenant JG Christopher Adams (played by Jason French) is a Starfleet officer currently serving as Chief of Operations of the LoDona loyal USS Paladin. Christopher Adams stands 6'2" with short black hair and is of average build.

Childhood

Christopher Adams comes from a long line of Starfleet officers. His father, grand father, and great grand father all served in Starfleet. His grandfather served on the USS Melbourne and was killed in the Battle of Wolf 359 when his father was fifteen years old. His father's first posting was to Starfleet Tactical where he specialized in weapons to fight the Borg. There his father met his mother. As a child, he moved from starbase to starbase with his parents, but setteled on Earth in Houston, Texas during his teenage years. ("Training Days")

During his high school years he worked at the City of Houston Transporter Facility where he was one of the youngest techs on duty. ("Interlude")

Starfleet Academy

Starfleet Academy

Adams joined Starfleet Academy in 2403. He studied to be an engineer and took advanced engineering courses ("Training Days") and specialized in plasma power systems. ("Interlude")

A couple of weekends a month he used to use his transporter credits to beam from the Academy back to Houston and eat at his grandmother's house. ("Interlude")

He was given his final test by Lieutenant Cosico Thoma's at the Resorte Advanced Training Facility. In the test he had to figure out what was causing and stop a warp core breach on a Galaxy Class Starship. ("Training Days")

After passing his test he was visited by a mysterious Commander Lucas who told him that the USS Paladin was a LoDona loyal ship and that he must not tell anyone that he was being posted to it. ("Training Days") He covertly borded the runabout Arkansas, but during flight it was taken over by Starfleet officers loyal to Doenitz. Working together with the other people on the runabout, they were able to over power the other officers and take control back. ("Journey to the Paladin")

USS Paladin

USS Paladin

Adams's first posting was the the LoDona loyal ship USS Paladin in 2407. They were en route to the Romulan Neutral Zone in case the Romulans decided it was a good time strike into the Federation during the Civil War. ("Interlude")

Adams went on his first away mission when the USS Paladin came across an alien vessel, the QHL Sunda, stuck in a subspace tear. Adams discovered that an imbalance in the ship's quantum singularity warp drive caused the rift. A sister ship from the United Kingdom of Kiria, QHL Aiglos, approaches and is outraged that aliens have boarded their ship. Captain Straton leads an envoy over to the Aiglos to explain the situation. She convinces the ship's commander to work together to get the Sunda out of the rift. Adams works with the crew of the Aiglos to remove the Sunda from the rift and help in repairs. An investigation is launched and it is discovered that a Romulan agent was hiding as part of the Sunda crew and caused the instability in their warp drive. ("The Enigma Factor")

Patrolling the Romulan Neutral Zone in case the Romulans decided to take advantage of the Federation Civil War, the USS Paladin was suddenly pulled into uncharted space, 530 light years off course. Faced with a six month journey to get back to Federation space, Captain Eva Straton ordered the ship to the nearest star system in order to finish repairs and get any supplies, if needed. To their surprise, they encountered a Dyson Sphere and sent a small away team, including Adams, out in the Shuttlecraft Goddard to investigate. The away team found a way to get into the sphere and then worked on getting the Paladin through to the inside as well. The Paladin explored in the interior of the sphere and found no life forms. They left the Dyson Sphere resupplied and started heading back to Federation space. Working with Lieutenant Commander Sarouk, Adams helps find a subspace river which allowed them to get back in only two months time. This sparks Adams's interest in other fields besides engineering. He makes a decision to move to Operations under Lieutenant O'Connor. ("The Unexpected Odyssey: The Sphere")

Lieutenant O'Connor is injured and Adams is promoted to Chief of Operations. The USS Paladin arrives at Starbase Geneva where Adams runs into one of his old friends from the Academy, Ensign Fala Taban. Fala has news from home: his mother has been rounded up into an internment camp on Earth for being loyal to LoDona. It also appears that his father was behind it. Conflicted, Adams threatens to leave his post to go back to Earth and free his mother. He comes to the realization that the only way he's going to get there is to recomit himself to his captain and his ship. He shaves his beard off and starts working out in the holodeck losing around seventy-five pounds. Over the next six weeks, he helps coordinate the Paladin's refit effort. ("New Beginnings")

Captain Straton announces that the Paladin’s next mission will be to rendezvous with the 21st Task Group and lead it against Doenitz’s forces in the liberation of Betazed. The crew is excited about a potential end to the Civil War and start battle exercises while they are traveling to the Kalandra sector. ("Mjolnir's Fury")

Character Bible

Christopher Adams is a young Human of American decent, specializing in engineering. He is a jovial character who doesn't usually get frustrated and usually avoids conflict. He is shy and would rather go off into the holodeck on his own rather than go to a party. He is an exceptional engineer and is able to take apart and put together things with great skill.

He comes from a long line of male Starfleet officers and has a great sense of duty. Because of his lineage, he lives by the motto of "leave no man behind". He will go to great personal sacrifice to ensure that his friends and ship mates are safe and brought back alive. Because of his Starfleet loyalty, the one thing he does get frustrated at is if someone questions his loyalty. The Federation Civil War has really put him into internal conflict. He thinks he's doing the right thing by joining up with LoDona, but there's always that doubt lingering in the back of his mind.

Chris is an only child who's mother and father are divorced. He spent his high school years on Earth in Houston, Texas with his mother, who is a teacher. His father is a weapons specialist and is currently serving in Starfleet. While surving on the USS Paladin, Chris gets word through a friend that his father had something to do with his mother being rounded up into an internment camp on Earth for being loyal to LoDona. This has diven a rift between himself and his father. It has renewed Chris's sense of duty, for that being the only way he can get back to Earth and free his mother.
