The Boudicca has just had a new CO assigned to her and is about to embark on a voyage of exploration and discovery. Her first mission involves the retrieval and destruction of one of the Falthgood devices which had been concealed on Tobias V in the Tobias System. Tobias V is a pre-warp civilisation (roughly analogous to 1960's Earth) and so the away team must attempt to gain access to the device without revealing that they come from a space-faring civilisation in order to comply with the Prime Directive. Disguised as native Tobians, their task has been complicated by the arrest of several away team members.
