Alpha One is the title granted to the supreme leader of a theater of operations within the Waagoshin territory.

When a Waagoshin is granted or earns this title, they discard the use of their own name in lieu of the title, as such all Waagoshin of this rank are individually known as Alpha One, as is the title that they possess.

In 2198, an Alpha One led a massive Waagoshin war fleet against the planet Nigli when his leaders decided that the Niglik were withholding their technology from the Waagoshin, and thereby limiting their cultural and military growth. This is considered the beginning of the Waagoshin Invasion.

That Alpha One was killed in the opening stages of the conflict but was replaced by a successor who crushed the last of the Niglik resistance five years later, securing the planet Nigli for the Waagoshin.

In 2208, the Waagoshin sent another Alpha One to subdue the planet Tch'Kair, whose inhabitants, the Tch'Kairn were allies of the Niglik. A massive battle was fought in the Sigma Draconis System, between Joz, Free Niglik and the Waagoshin Fleet.

The Waagoshin outnumbered the allies significantly and invaded the planet. They had subjegated it within a year, as the Tch'Kairn followed the tenements of Kel'Sima.

By 2408, yet another Alpha One commanded all Waagoshin forces in the Sigma Draconis System. He commanded from an orbital facility orbitting Tch'Kair. He was known for his brutality as well as his dislike of the Tch'Kairn which he considered to be barely worth his notice.

With the unexpected arrival of the USS Hades in 2408, Alpha One decided to sieze the starship for the purpose of gaining it's technology to fulfill his personal ambitions. To facilitate this plan, he kidnapped three members of the Hades Crew, Captain Devan Sash, Lieutenant Darla Wright and CMO Doctor Angeni Windsong-Trommashere.

This was a declaration of war de facto with the United Federation of Planets. The Federation starship allied with the Tch'Kairn Resistance and began to assault Waagoshin military assets.

Alpha One was killed by Captain Devan Sash, aboard his orbital facility, when Sash overloaded a series of power relays destroying the station.
