Quol Nor's Assassin Hologram

The Assassin Hologram was a specialized holographic program designed and employed by the Ferengi Data Broker Quol Nor on Starbase 989.

Sometime in early 2413, Quol Nor used the Program to eliminate a Romulan Tal Shiar operative. This prompted an investigation by T'Sek under the auspices of working as a Romulan Droveli merchant. He arrived on his ship, the Harveq in late 2413, after being assigned to investigate.

Later during the Harveq's time at the starbase, Quol murdered Captain Joseph Taylor the Station's Commanding Officer.

This caused the Captain of the USS Rosenante, Ahmed Ibn Salid to assign members of his crew to investigate the murder.

When a member of T'Sek's crew, Cargomaster Nargo, was killed by the program. Doctor Rosk determined that Nargo had been killed in the exact same manner as the previous Tal Shair operative. This also happened to coincide with the same methodology as the murder performed on Captain Taylor.

The program was unique in that it was not aware of it's true nature, having advanced subroutines built in to hide that information from prying eyes as well as would be data hackers. The hologram when not fulfilling contracts for his Ferengi master posed as a Tailor, on the holodeck.

Among his abilities were the creation of force fields to immobilize his opponents as well as creating a holographic hook that was used to puncture the victim's lung and heart. These details often caused confusion for the investigator's because of the complete lack of physical evidence at the crime scene. however, investigators from the Rosenante correctly deduced the nature of the attack and managed to neutralize the program. They later traced it back to Quol Nor and arrested him for the murder of Captain Taylor.

The Program was decompiled by Ensign Eian O'Neill at the request of Captain Salid in 2413.
